Not every woman knows how to weave braids, but braids are the most comfortable and practical hairstyle of all time. At the moment, there is a huge number of different braids, which are divided into easy and complex types. Today we will talk about a braid of medium complexity - French.

Features of the French braid

It is the French type of braid that is ideal for different hair lengths, as well as a haircut. Even if you are the owner of a naughty cascade, then all the extra strands will be clearly and firmly woven into the braid.

Types of French braids

There are many varieties of the French braid in the modern world. It can be one, and maybe two and three, everything will depend on the length and thickness of your hair. Also, the French braid can be lateral, go obliquely, and there is also a weaving called the reverse French braid. Below we will look at the most popular weaving techniques.

How to weave braids

Plain French braid

  • Take a section of hair in the area of the bangs, as shown in the picture and divide it into three equal strands. Transfer the first one to the central one and put the left one on it. Then, for convenience, take the braid in one hand so that the rest of the hair does not interfere with you.
  • Now start picking up the loose strands on the right side and add them to the right strand. The strand that you add, you immediately transfer to the central one, and it should be taken to the right.
  • Now carry out all the same manipulations, only on the left side. Thus, performing such simple actions, you will braid an ordinary French braid. And the weaving itself ends with an ordinary braid, which should be secured with a beautiful elastic band.

Side french braid

Part a section of hair in the parietal area and divide it into three equal sections. Begin to throw the right strand to the central one, and the left one over the central one. Throw right to left again and start adding loose strand on the right side.

Continue braiding with a catch on each side of the loose strand. Always try to take strands of the same width and thickness. In the temple area, you change the direction of the spit. To do this, you need to take from the parting, so you turn to the side. We continue weaving to another temple, and then turn the direction of the braid again.

French braid vice versa

Again, we separate a small part of the hair on the crown, which we divide into three equal strands. And we begin to weave them. We throw strand one under strand two, and we shift strand 3 under strand 1.

Now we take a new strand and add it to the strand of two. There, under it, you need to shift a new strand of two, plus a new strand. But to the central one you need to add a free strand on the right.

We braid the entire braid in a similar way, adding either the left or the right free strand of loose hair. We fix the tip of the pigtail with an elastic band or hair clip.
