All the pros and cons of shapewear / shaping underwear

For health or aesthetic reasons, many women resort to the use of corrective underwear. Such underwear is made using a special technology that allows it to be matched to a different female figure and play a role in the overall image. Today we will talk in more detail about the different types of shapewear and talk about all the pros and cons.

What is corrective underwear for?

This type of underwear is designed for the female figure and belongs to three different categories:

  1. Aesthetic category - corrective underwear has a slimming property on a certain area of the body: stomach, arms, hips, pelvis, legs, and thus makes the figure more slender;
  2. Medical category - slimming underwear is intended for women suffering from varicose veins, back pain, postoperative types of underwear and more;
  3. Preventive category - For the purpose of prevention, it has a slight tightening effect on a certain area and the prevention of the occurrence of possible diseases is underway.

Rules for wearing corrective underwear

  • The therapeutic and prophylactic category of linen is prescribed only by a doctor; without his recommendations, it is strictly forbidden to select this type of product;
  • Corrective underwear cannot be selected at once several sizes smaller than your figure - this is prohibited. The linen should sit tightly, but in no case should it squeeze the body, otherwise problems with internal organs may begin;
  • Shapewear is not suitable for everyday wear.

How to wear shapewear?

Corrective underwear is different and, accordingly, each of the products can be worn to suit your type and type of clothing.

Seamless shapewear

This type of lingerie can be worn freely under tight-fitting dresses, pencil skirts and blouses. It will not show through under the clothes due to the lack of seams, but at the same time it will be able to provide a truly high-quality result in terms of tightening the figure.

Bodysuit

The corrective bodysuit resembles a closed type of swimsuit, only sometimes it has an additional cutout in the chest area, which allows you to wear a bra under it. The corrective bodysuit is suitable for women with a problematic abdominal area and a poorly defined waist. It will also lift your breasts, making them appear firmer. Bodysuits can be worn under shorts and T-shirts, jeans and leggings, turtlenecks, sweaters and dresses.

But remember that dresses (if the bodysuit is not a seamless type) should be selected from dense fabrics.

High waist shorts

The model is suitable for women suffering from problem areas of the pelvis, hips and abdomen. Shorts are suitable only for jeans, leggings, trousers, and as a top, you need to select things that will have the optimal length in order to close the too high top of the product, which tightens the tummy.

Corrective panties

This type of linen has almost the same properties as the one described above, only its range of action is slightly limited. But under such a model, you can wear short shorts and mini-skirts.

Corset

The corset has the role of tightening the waist to make it visually slimmer and narrower than it really is. The model is always worn under a bra, and upstairs you can wear straight dresses, flared dresses, high skirts, where a narrow and beautiful waist will be clearly visible.

Bra

The model is designed to correct the female breast, making it visually more elastic and taller. The bra will fit any top and dress, so wear different attributes of clothing with it freely.
